Planning an Ultimate Birthday Bash for My Bestie with Awesome Goodies from Amazon!
I’m super excited because my best friend, Wendy, is turning 13 soon. We’re planning to throw the coolest birthday party ever for her! Mom and I have been talking non-stop about it, and we’re picking out games, snacks, and, of course, awesome toys from Amazon to make it unforgettable. Mom’s got her grown-up ideas, but I’m adding my fun twist. Here’s how we planned Wendy’s big day
It all started last Monday when I bounced into the kitchen, practically yelling, “Mom, Wendy’s birthday is in two weeks!” Wendy loves glitter, music, and running around like me. I wanted her party to be perfect, so Mom grabbed her coffee and said, “Let’s make a plan, Kirby. What’s Wendy’s vibe?” I thought about it while munching cereal. Wendy’s all about sparkly stuff and laughing till her stomach hurts, so I said, “A glittery summer bash with tons of games!” Mom nodded, pulling out her notebook. “Okay, let’s do a backyard party with indoor backup for rain. We’ll need activities, food, and decorations.”
Decorations were next. I yelled, “Glitter everything!” but Mom laughed, saying we’d keep it simple. She found Ruisita Rainbow Party Supplies—banners, balloons, and sparkly tablecloths. I haven’t seen them yet, but they sound like Wendy’s style, perfect for party decorations. “We’ll hang balloons outside and inside,” Mom said. I pictured the yard looking like a rainbow exploded—in a good way!
But I wanted twinkly lights! Mom found Baisico Rainbow LED String Lights after Tina’s tip. They’re colourful and battery-powered, great for outdoor party lighting. “We’ll drape them around the fence,” Mom said. I imagined them glowing at night, like stars for Wendy’s party.
We needed a fun table setup. I said, “Wendy loves bright colours!” Mom’s friend Jen recommended Glittery Rainbow Tablecloth from FunnyPars. I saw one at a friend’s party—it’s so sparkly! It’s perfect for party table decor. Mom said, “It’ll make the snack table pop.” I pictured pizza and cupcakes looking extra cool on it.
For a photo spot, because Wendy loves selfies so Mom suggested a backdrop. Her friend Laura raved about Foil Fringe Curtain from Voircoloria. I haven’t tried it, but it’s shiny and great for photo booth decor. “We’ll set it up inside,” Mom said. I can see us taking goofy pics with glittery vibes!
Come to games. I told Mom I wanted everyone to have fun, not just sit around. “Wendy loves crafts,” I said, “so maybe something artsy?” Mom’s friend Sarah had mentioned the Klutz Make Your Own Glitter Charms Kit, and it sounded perfect. Mom looked it up on Amazon, and I squealed—it’s got molds to make sparkly charms! I haven’t tried it, but I can picture us all making necklaces, giggling over glitter spills. It’s awesome for creative craft kits and will get everyone chatting. Mom said, “We’ll set up a craft table. It’s educational, too—teaches patience!” I rolled my eyes but agreed.
Next, I wanted something active. Wendy’s always running, so I suggested a game to burn energy. Mom remembered her friend Tina raving about GoSports Giant 4-in-a-Row. We played it at a picnic once, and I loved dropping the big discs—Wendy beat me every time! It’s perfect for outdoor family games, and Mom said it’s great for strategy skills. “We’ll put it in the yard,” she said, “and kids can team up.” I imagined Wendy laughing as she wins again, and it made me grin.
I wanted a brainy game, too, because Wendy is super smart. Mom’s friend Jen loves Mindware Trivia Challenge. We played a trivia game at school, and Wendy crushed it. This one’s got questions for kids and adults, great for educational party games. Mom said, “We’ll do teams—parents versus kids!” I smirked, knowing our team would win.
Wendy loves animals, so I begged for something cute. Mom found Schleich Farm World Play Set after her friend Sonia’s tip. I have a Schleich horse, and it’s so detailed! This set’s got cows and pigs, awesome for pretend play toys. “We’ll set up a farm corner,” Mom said, “for quieter moments.” I imagined Wendy naming every animal.
For a big group activity, I suggested a scavenger hunt. Mom loved it and found Chuckle & Roar Scavenger Hunt Game for Kids. Her friend Laura says it’s a blast outdoors or in. It’s perfect for group party games—I can’t wait to hide clues! Mom said, “It teaches teamwork, too.”
We needed a chill activity, so Mom suggested Crayola Model Magic Deluxe Kit. I’ve sculpted with it before, and it’s squishy fun! It’s great for indoor craft kits, and Mom said, “Kids can make gifts for Wendy.” I thought that was sweet.
Then we talked food. I wanted pizza because, duh, everyone loves it. Mom agreed but said, “Let’s add a DIY snack station—Wendy loves being creative.” Her friend Priya had mentioned Wilton Cupcake Decorating Kit. I helped Mom bake cupcakes once, and frosting them was so fun! This kit’s got sprinkles and tips for swirly icing, great for kids’ baking activities. Mom said, “Kids can decorate their own—it’s like a craft!” I nodded, imagining Wendy’s glittery cupcake masterpiece.
Door gifts were next. I wanted something everyone would keep. Mom’s friend Priya suggested Prometheism Personalized Glitter Keychains. I haven’t seen them, but you can add names—cool for party favor gifts! “One for each kid,” Mom said. I imagined Wendy’s friends showing them off at school.
"What about Mini Glitter Notebooks from Glenmal?" a suggestion from Rachel. Everyone gets a sparkly journal, and it would be so awesome!
