This Week's Top 10 Amazon Educational Toys for Family Bonding!
Kirby usually picks her faves, but this time, I decided to try gathering and swapping ideas with my friends for some fun and engaging family bonding activities, educational toys that make us laugh and learn.
Last weekend, it poured, so I texted my friend Laura for ideas. She swore by the Fat Brain Toys Math Whiz Game. We played it last night, and Kirby raced to solve math puzzles. It’s perfect for math learning toys—we laughed when I got stumped, and it taught quick thinking as a team.
My pal Rachel loves strategy, so she suggested Qwirkle. Her family matches shapes and colors, shouting when someone scores big. We haven’t tried it, but it sounds like a blast for family strategy games, building pattern skills. I’m excited to challenge Kirby!
Then there’s Tina, our craft queen. She raved about the Klutz Make Your Own Soap Kit. We made glittery soaps last week, and Kirby loved mixing scents while and giggled at the bubbles. It’s awesome for creative craft kits—we bonded over silly soap names and learned about chemistry.
My friend Priya’s into animals, so she recommended National Geographic Dino Dig Kit. I haven’t bought it yet, but her kids dig for fossils and talk dinosaurs for hours. It’s great for science exploration toys. I can’t wait to see Kirby’s face when we unearth a T-Rex bone together!
Sonia, another mom, loves the Little Tikes STEM Jr. Wonder Lab. We tried it at a playdate, her son mixed “potions” while Kirby timed experiments. It’s perfect for preschool STEM toys, encouraging questions and teamwork. We had a blast guessing what’d fizz next!
My group chat lit up about Gamewright Outfoxed!, thanks to Jen. Her family plays detectives, finding clues to catch a fox. I haven’t played, but it’s on my list for cooperative board games. Jen says it teaches logic and gets everyone talking—perfect for game night!
Laura also mentioned Thames & Kosmos Physics Workshop. Her son builds machines, and Dad loves explaining gears. It’s a bit advanced, but I think Kirby’d love it for engineering toys. We’re saving it for a rainy afternoon to tinker as a family.
Tina suggested CoolToys Monkey Balance Math Game. We played it yesterday where Kirby stacked monkeys to balance numbers to check her math. It’s so fun for counting games for kids, and we bonded over cheering each monkey stack.
Rachel’s musical, so she pitched Hape Pound & Tap Bench. Her son loves banging the xylophone at Grandma’s, and she sings along. It’s great for musical learning toys for toddlers, teaching rhythm while they would make silly songs together.
Last, Priya loves the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Microscope. Her kids explore slides and hear facts about bugs. I haven’t tried it, but it sounds perfect for biology toys for kids. I’m picturing us huddled around, amazed by tiny critters, learning as a family.
